Bach in Winter

Back and forth say the hands,

one against the other.  Swing

the notes like censers.  Cold and dark

and wind fill the world.  What

is human amidst a howling

blizzard.  Can we help each

other.  I know love.  I know

voice.  Ice stings the face

and does not speak.  What

if space could listen.

Piano strings are struck

so there is echo.  Pour

down your white, sky.

Someone is present on earth.
