1-2-3 waltz those feet
right out the door. Step
on the world 1-2-3
Touch the rocks, trees, air.
Can you say blue.
Beckon another. Lips
shift into second gear.
Lift the baton 1-2-3
Speak out loud.
It’s a word, word, word.
Bodies can shatter.
1-2-3
I like the rhythm set up by the repeated 1, 2, 3. I think this should be pushed through line by line so one could recite it whle marching around in a tight circle, or banging a cane on the ground while seated in a rocking chair as did Yeats.
Wow. Cool idea. Yeats!
