the Garden of Eden. He
eats trees, feels Eve

his chest. She is
supple and disappears
like rain. Serpents
are gods here with
skin like diamonds.
It would be worth it
to acquire work,
invent childbirth.
Wear clothes. Love death.
Personally, no, I don’t think it’s worth it, but, I always like any form of literature that combines a “what if” with the Bible. The only way to deal with the infection of religion is to deconstruct. Besides having a lovely sound, anyone reading this poem will put themselves in that game preserve and question themselves. That is the value of this poem to me
